About Blank
The work combines the artist’s interest in materiality and sculpture with a critical approach to urbanism and consumer society. In his practice, Georgescu explores the representation of empty billboards, viewing them as Bucharest’s “urban sculptures” — recurring objects trapped in a perpetual state of suspension. Through About Blank, he addresses the visual obstruction these empty panels create in relation to the architecture of Romania’s capital.
