These are everyday items the observer can relate to with familiarity through his own life-experience. The objects, however, are taken out of context and proportion; they present a duality and intrigue the observer into finding a solution to the problem.

about the artist

Laszlo Forray

The red thread that unifies Laszlo Forray's work can be described as a minimalist aesthetic language that conceals a strong conceptual foundation. The artist’s desire to outline a direction or deliver a message verging on a manifesto is nonetheless carried out in a subtle manner, allowing the viewer the ideological space for personal engagement and original interpretation.

Forray’s themes revolve around the human interaction with the self and with others, and the traces left behind by significant—yet often overlooked—choices and decisions.
