Sometimes it feels like all that is good—memories, friendships, joy, and the light of each day—has been locked away in a distant chest, beyond our reach. We might glimpse through the keyhole, but what’s inside still feels unattainable. And then comes the question: who locked it away? I can only hope it wasn’t me—though maybe, unknowingly, it was.

about the artist

Filip Nicolae Voicu

Voicu Filip Nicolae is a visual artist whose practice revolves around deep emotions, human fragility, and the search for personal meaning amidst the chaos of everyday life. His works are often introspective, laden with subtle symbols that invite reflection. Through a sensitive and personal artistic language, the artist addresses themes such as the passage of time, memory, loss, hope, and the need for connection. His primary medium of work is sculpture.

At the heart of his approach is the idea that meaning is not always found in the grand moments of life, but in the spaces between them—in small gestures, silences, absences, and fragments of emotion that, when gathered, build a broader picture of existence. Each work thus becomes a silent testimony, an attempt to understand, to feel, and to communicate what is not easily put into words.
