The Emperor is a 2.5-meter hyperrealistic watermelon sculpture that elevates a familiar summer fruit into a contemporary monument. Both ironic and serious, the work explores how agrarian objects turn into political and cultural symbols. As part of the Melonland project, it reflects on power and the instability of meaning in the age of post-truth.
