With roots in New York City’s Lower East Side, Galeria Catinca Tabacaru has been championing emerging international artists since 2014. The gallery continually expands its vision through global collaborations, specifically in Zimbabwe since 2015, and a traveling art residency program which has organized projects in Canada, Serbia, Nigeria, Finland and Romania; fostering artistic exchange across continents and diverse communities.

In 2020, the Gallery relocated to Bucharest, contributing to the city’s bourgeoning art scene while integrating an Eastern European perspective into its program.
