Alain Berland

Curator — International Association of Art Critics [AICA]

Alain Berland is an art critic and exhibition curator, member of AICA. He has curated numerous solo exhibitions for, among others, Anthony McCall, Isabelle Cornaro, Judith Scott, Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, Michel Blazy, Bruno Perramant, Stéphane Vigny, Alzbeta Wolfova and has also orchestrated multiple group exhibitions. He was curator of the Biennale du Havre, head of visual arts at the Théâtre des Amandiers, Nanterre and cultural programmer at the Beaux-arts de Paris. He is currently the curator for visual arts at the Week-End à l'Est Festival and was responsible for its editions dedicated to Tbilisi (2023) and Yerevan (2024). In 2025, he is preparing a series of exhibitions on the Bucharest art scene and will also curate two group exhibitions at La Gaya Scienza, Nice at 22Visconti, Paris. He is also a contributor to Crash Magazine.
