Ana-Maria Ștefan

Curator — Salonul de Proiecte

Ana-Maria Ștefan (b. 1998) is a curator and artist based in Bucharest. She earned her bachelor degree in Art History and Theory from the National University of Arts Bucharest and Université Bordeaux Montaigne in 2020. Since 2021 she has been the manager and then director of Catinca Tabacaru Gallery, where she administered and co-curated over 20 local and international exhibitions, and contributed to the gallery program across Romania, Europe, Africa and United States of America. She has worked extensively  at gallery’s curatorial initiatives ment to strengthen the Bucharest art scene including Video+Radio+Live, a live and video performance-based collaborative project by 6 galleries based in Romania making part of the Art Encounters Biennial in Timisoara (2021); and Doi Joi, a second-Thursdays program started in Bucharest in 2022 with plans to expand nationally in 2024. In 2023, she initiated RAD Curatorial, an annual program fostering consolidation and innovation within the curatorial landscape in Eastern Europe and its relationships to the international scene as part of RAD Art Fair.
