Andria Nyberg Forshage

Curator — Independent Curator

Andria Nyberg Forshage is a writer, independent curator, poet and art worker. Her transdisciplinary artistic research concerns queer- and transfeminist aesthetics, perception, desire and survival. She is a Contributing Editor of Paletten Art Journal and teaches the course Text as an Artistic Medium at the Royal Institute of Art and Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation in Stockholm. Andria has participated in CuratorLab at Konstfack University of the Arts 2022-2023 engaging with Autostrada Biennale, the Young Curators Programme at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo 2024, and The Autumn School of Curating 2024. She holds an MA degree in Aesthetics from Södertörn University and has previous experience working with Public Art Agency Sweden. In 2024-2025 Andria is a critic-in-residence with SITE in Stockholm and the Copenhagen-based platform bastard.blog, and a participant in the 2025 Frieze New Writers programme. Her writing, gender-queer and genre-queer, has been published in several exhibition catalogues and poetry journals in English and Swedish, and her research features in the upcoming Routledge Handbook of Queer Death Studies.
