The Romanian art scene has long been an enigma, full of untold stories and hidden gems. Thanks to the invitation from RAD Curatorial, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with inspiring curators, artists, galleries, and art spaces in Bucharest. Each encounter has offered a glimpse into a vibrant and dynamic cultural landscape.
I highly recommend visiting Malmaison, a former military prison and communist detention center that has been transformed into a creative hub housing artists’ studios and galleries. For contemporary art enthusiasts, /SAC (Spațiul de Artă Contemporană) is a must-see, featuring cutting-edge projects and fostering collaboration. Barbara Horvath - RAD Curatorial 2024
