Geanina and Tudor Grecu

Geanina and Tudor Grecu are a collector couple based in Bucharest, active in the field of contemporary art since 2005. Over the years, they have built close — and occasionally tense — relationships with artists and gallerists, always driven by a desire to collect and support relevant artistic practices. Since 2019, they have run INVITRO, two independent spaces in Bucharest and Cluj, where they invite emerging artists or those returning to experimentation, as well as galleries that propose their own interventions, free from the constraints of a traditional program. Their interest spans both provocative approaches that navigate the system countercurrent, and practices that, while aligned with prevailing currents, bring clarity, depth, or refinement to the contemporary discourse — whether emerging from Romanian or international contexts.
