Giulia Menegale
Giulia Menegale is an independent curator, researcher, and writer based in Venice. She is completing a PhD in analysis and management of cultural heritage at the IMT School for Advanced Studies, and HDK-Valand, the Academy of Art and Design, at the University of Gothenburg, where she investigates the legacy of institutional critique in contemporary art practices and curating. She has collaborated in curatorial and researcher positions with Casco Art Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid; Autostrada Biennale, Kosovo; Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Turin, Italy. She curated independent art project at Platea, Lodi, Italy; and Škuc Gallery, Ljubljana, Slovenia; Remont gallery, Belgrade. She contributed with critical texts to Milica Tomić’s monography, “On Love Afterwards” (2025), at Kunsthaus Graz and to the Routledge Companion to Art Biennials (2025), edited by Panos Kompatsiaris. Her writings have been featured in Flash Art, Contemporary&, Mousse Magazine and Arts of the Working Class.
