STOL Collective

STOL is a collective formed in 2023 by four members: Ioana Mincu, Mara Verhooogt, Anio Ciutac, Marco Verhoogt, and Sebastian Mihăescu. They create socially engaged art projects rooted in local contexts and small stories with significant impact. Their work emphasizes encounters—between individuals, communities, and ecologies, both human and non-human.

Combining investigative and speculative approaches, STOL works across various media to explore and reframe cultural narratives. Believing in art’s power to reshape reality, they create space for diverse voices and invite others to join them in imagining new, shared futures.
