Radical Boredom

with Daniela Pălimariu & speakers TBA

What if boredom is not an absence, but a condition that reveals how we relate to time, attention, and desire today? In a culture driven by constant stimulation, productivity, and visibility, boredom can become a resistant space—one where perception slows down and different forms of thought, rest, or discomfort begin to surface.

This talk approaches boredom as both symptom and strategy: a threshold state that can expose the pressures of contemporary life while also opening unexpected pathways for reflection and making. Together with Daniela Pălimariu and invited speakers, the conversation explores how “radical boredom” might function as a critical lens on attention economies, creative processes, and the politics of doing less—or simply being still.
