RAD Sculpture Park Returns with Record-Breaking Edition
RAD Sculpture Park returns to Bucharest for its third edition with a record-breaking presentation: over 100 contemporary sculptures installed throughout the expansive gardens of CARO by Lake Tei. Open to the public until May 25, the large-scale outdoor exhibition invites visitors to explore ambitious sculptural works by more than 60 Romanian and international artists, presented by the 28 galleries participating in RAD Art Fair. Admission is free, with guided tours available on weekends.
Curated by Alex Radu—co-founder of RAD and founder of /SAC—the 2025 edition emphasizes artistic diversity as a force for connection and resilience. From poetic reflections to bold political statements, the works on view span generations, practices, materials, and messages.
“This edition aims to address pressing contemporary issues, the need for diversity and the need for dialogue,” says Radu. “We live in a present shaped by multiplicity, and that’s not a threat—it’s what makes us stronger as a society.”
Highlights include Ana Avram’s pigeons, slowly consumed by their real-life counterparts in a self-reflexive performance; Adrian Piorescu’s monumental installation on social friction; and Oliver Ressler’s ecologically charged interventions. Works by Terrence Musekiwa, Marzena Nowak, Alina Cioară, Bogdan Rața, and dozens more populate the park in a dynamic rhythm of forms and thought.
Now a signature component of RAD Art Fair, RAD Sculpture Park offers a powerful alternative to the white cube—inviting the public into a space where nature and contemporary art collide, coexist, and open up new ways of seeing.
