Sandwich

Sandwich (2017) is a collective-run gallery that thrives on its all-inclusive approach to the art world. It began by harnessing the hidden potential of a residual space between two utilitarian buildings (11 sqm), demonstrating that every constraint can serve as a resource for finding the ultimate solution.

Since its inception, Sandwich has continuously challenged definitions of the art space, transforming it into an active environment and engaged instigator within the art world. In addition to exhibitions, Sandwich has initiated art events and performances that place public at their core such as Process Terminus and Double Decker. Evolving into a multi-layered organization, Sandwich has expanded its presence from Combinatul Fondului Plastic (2017), to Malmaison Studios (2021), and Sandwich Neurohope, set to open in 2025.

Beyond its representational program, Sandwich is dedicated to producing site-specific works in collaboration with both Romanian and international artists, including Abraham Cruzvillegas (MX), Mike Nelson (UK), Anaiis Touchot (FR), Dan Perjovschi (RO), Liliana Basarab (RO), Anetta Mona Chișa (RO/SK), Jin Ningning (CN), Martin Zet (CZ), Jorge Peris (SP), Dan Vezentan (RO), Cristian Răduță (RO) and many more.

Staying true to its vision, Sandwich will once again present a strong selection of artists at RAD FAIR 2025, alongside a new reiteration of Garage Sale—an initiative that fosters accessibility, circulation, and new opportunities for both artists and audiences
